FAA CFI seeking a helicopter flying position that would ultimately lead to an aviation management job with flight duties for a company seeking a safe, proven professional CFI pilot able to increase customer satisfaction and goodwill through outstanding service

Currently taking some time off to "recharge" myself but for the last 12 years I was flying SkyFox as a pilot/reporter for FOX 13 News.

But due to the bad economy, Fox has decided to combine choppers with 2 other TV stations and they are going with a different helicopter vendor.

So I built this site to tell you a little bit about me and post my resume hoping to find a job. The most important thing to know about me is I'm an outstanding pilot and I have been flying for over 25 years with over 10,000 accident free PIC flight hours!

I have successfully landed helicopters after having an engine under speed problem while over Tampa Bay, 2 hydraulic failures (one of which was to a helipad in the Gulf of Mexico) and several months ago had a tail rotor drive shaft failure while on short final to an airport. (Ask me about it sometime. It's a spine tingling story and the aircraft sustained very minimal damage!)

Originally from Florida, I grew up at Patrick Air Force Base near the Kennedy Space Center. Since I was 8 years old, I wanted to fly helicopters, and when I turned 18, I joined the U.S. Army and started my career toward becoming a helicopter pilot.

My first couple of years in the Army was spent as an airborne paratrooper. After 100 or so jumps out of a perfectly good airplane and a couple of 25-mile road marches, it didn't take long for me to know that aviation was a better career choice. I spent the next 10 years as a Calvary scout pilot in the Army and Army Reserves. While in the Army I was a unit trainer in NVG's.

From there it was on to Dallas, Texas, and tried my hand at flying for the oil companies in the Gulf of Mexico. After almost three years, I accepted an offer with the police department in Ft. Worth, Texas. I won several awards at the FWPD and have appeared on "Save Our Streets" and FOX's "COPS." In my spare time, I was a backup pilot for the NBC station KXAS-TV and the FOX station KDFW-TV.

I received the Leo Galanis award for Pilot of the Year presented by the National Broadcast Pilots Association. I also served as Vice President of the National Broadcast Pilots Association for 4 years.

In my spare time I play tennis four to five days a week.
